Excel V
What Is Excel V?
Excel V combines two laser wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, in a single platform, each suited to different targets and depths. The 532nm wavelength is well absorbed by both hemoglobin and melanin, making it effective for superficial vascular concerns like facial telangiectasia (broken capillaries) and rosacea redness, as well as superficial pigmented lesions like sunspots. The 1064nm wavelength penetrates more deeply, making it the better choice for larger or deeper vessels, like leg veins, and for general skin revitalization.
During treatment, the laser energy is absorbed by its target, blood within a vessel or melanin within a pigmented lesion, generating heat that causes the vessel to collapse or the pigment to break down, all without significant impact on the surrounding healthy tissue.
What Can Excel V Treat?
- Facial redness, flushing, and broken capillaries (telangiectasia)
- Rosacea-related visible blood vessels
- Spider veins on the legs and face
- Sunspots and other pigmented lesions
- General skin revitalization and tone improvement
Am I a Good Candidate for Excel V?
Good Candidates Are Typically
- Dealing with facial redness, visible vessels, or rosacea-related vascular symptoms
- Looking to treat spider veins on the legs or face
- Interested in addressing sunspots or other pigmented lesions
- Looking for a precise, targeted approach rather than a broader, full-face light treatment
This Treatment May Not Be Right for You If

- You have an active skin infection in the treatment area
- You have a bleeding disorder or are on certain blood thinners without medical clearance
What to Expect During Your Excel V Treatment
- Sessions typically take 15 to 45 minutes depending on the treatment area and number of concerns addressed
- Treated vessels may look slightly darker or bruised temporarily before fading over 1 to 3 weeks
- Treated pigment darkens before flaking off naturally over 1 to 2 weeks
- Minimal downtime, most patients resume normal activities immediately
